Our Place offer a range of training for professionals that work to support others with social, emotional and mental health wellbeing. Our courses are also suitable for those within a managerial role that wish to get the best out of their staff team by increasing their understanding and ability to support and manage staff social, emotional and mental health wellbeing.
All of our courses and workshops are approved by The Open College West Midlands or hold CPD accreditation and can be accessed at Our Place Community Hub or delivered at your own venue.
Continued Professional Development Training
Our CPD training courses are specifically designed for professionals seeking to further develop their own skills in order to better support their clients, mentees, children, customers or staff team members.
Each course has CPD Approval from CPD UK and learners receive a recgonised certificate identifying the course and number of CPD hours undertaken. We have a wide ranging portfolio of quality training courses on offer, which are delivered at Our Place Community Hub or can be brought to your own venue.

Mentoring in Practice Level 3 NVQ Unit
Mentoring in Practice is a recognised qualification endorsed by Open College West Midlands. Delivered over 3 taught days (Across 12 weeks) learners will receive 24 guided learning hours and are required to undertake additional independent learning tasks. The course is designed to equip individuals to understand the role of a mentor, deliver safe mentoring practice and have the ability to deliver practical mentoring sessions tailored to the needs of individual mentees. There is a requirement for learners to be observed in a group mentoring environment and this could be through their current work place or within one of the Our Place mentoring courses.
