AsC logoOur Advice Service Cafe is an open access service offering individuals basic information on a variety of matters including:

  • Legal Issues
  • Benefit checks, claims and appeals
  • Mental health and wellbeing
  • Caring for someone
  • Employment matters and seeking employment
  • Adults with learning difficulties

 

Our support is delivered by trained volunteers or our professional partner agencies which includes solicitors and finance/debt advisers.

The service operates on a drop-in basis and is open at Our Place Community Hub the first and third Fridays of every month from 10am – 1pm.

In December we are launching the service in Erdington and sessions will be available on the second Tuesday of every month from 9am -11.30 at Slade Road primary School, Erdington.

Universal Credit Information

Universal Credit has now gone live in Sutton Coldfield. To help you understand what this means we have created a basic information pack for new claimants. Please note that the information is to the best of our knowledge and all claimants are advised to visit the Advice Cafe or another advice giving service before making and decisions or taking any action as a result of our information.
